Workplace Management System (WMS) Helps Hybrid Workers in Companies

The APP that allows workers to find co-working spaces, Deskimo, launches Working Management System (WMS) to optimize the work system hybrid.

Deskimo seeks to help companies embrace work arrangements hybrid where workers can start working again from the office but still have access to remote work.

With WMS, enterprises can take advantage of planning features that use real-time data and drive effective space utilization, as well as team collaboration in a co-working environment.

With the world now increasingly open to new patterns of life, companies are starting to re-implement plans to work from the office.

However, the post-pandemic world of work cannot return to the way it used to be and seven out of ten people in Southeast Asia agree.

Based on a survey conducted by EY involving 16,000 employees in 16 countries, only 15% of respondents in Southeast Asia prefer to work full time in an office.

While 85% of respondents want flexibility both in terms of work location and working hours.

In fact, six out of ten workers in Indonesia say they will quit their jobs if there is no flexibility after the pandemic.

“It’s important for companies to ‘get back to work’ appropriately – not only for the safety of employees and customers, but also to retain their workforce,” said Christian Mischler, co-founder of Deskimo.

“We designed WMS as a plug-and-play solution, for both large and small companies to quickly adopt or upgrade hybrid work systems,” he explained.

“By using only one platform, companies can offer greater autonomy, flexibility, connectivity and support — thereby improving work-life balance — and creating a more productive, healthier and more stable workforce in the process,” said Mischler. ..

Challenges for HR Team

The situation, however, brought challenges to human resources (HR) company. They must direct the best way to implement the work system hybrid.

Corporate HR needs to figure out how to rotate to avoid office congestion and manage attendance and ensure smooth workflow and communication.

The launch of WMS by Deskimo enables companies to transition and adapt to a flexible work system in order to increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure the well-being of the company and its employees.

Using WMS, office managers can manage offices in a location, define areas, meeting rooms, and other facilities that are easily accessible by anyone or a designated person within the company.

The WMS also allows the department head or team leader to set a rotating list of staff attendance to facilitate direct interaction.

Employees can set their own schedule, indicate when they are working from outside the office, when they will come in, and view the schedule given by their manager.

WMS features are designed to help companies and employees stay organized, informed and monitored, as well as facilitate collaboration and exchange of ideas to be more effective and secure without the need to always be in the office. Some of the features that make HR easier include:

(1) Access Dashboard

Administrators have access to view dashboards and gain visibility: who works where and when, which teams go to the office on what days, and much more.

(2) Managing Capacity

Adapt to changing regulations through the ease of changing capacity constraints

(3) Name List

Easily manage teams by work schedule or manage separate teams.

(4) Contact Tracking

Gain visibility into desk usage information via QR check-in feature for easy contact tracing

(5) Social Distance

Embedding social distancing protocols in daily routines.

(6) Optimizing Current and Future Workspaces

Adjust the size of the office space and optimize costs.

(7) Reports and Insights

With utilization and occupancy data, companies get information about underutilized space and how to reconfigure budgets.

“Many companies are now realizing that they can cut and save costs when their staff work from home. Companies need in-depth analysis and operational data to strategically define and select offices,” he said.

“That’s why we present a product that can make planning and optimizing the office easier,” added Mischler.

With a hybrid approach as a new habit, the workplace must be able to adapt to new circumstances, improve existence and find new goals.

Today, office work can be done from anywhere, but the need to connect and resolve more complex issues through face-to-face meetings and exchanging ideas with colleagues is still there.

The office won’t go anywhere, but its function will turn into a creative place and WMS is ready to facilitate that change.

At its inaugural launch, Deskimo offered a one month free trial for new users. To find out more about WMS, visit https://www.deskimo.com/workplace-management/. (RO/OL-09)
