This woman admitted that she had never eaten any kind of vegetables and fruit for 22 years. He feels healthy even though he only eats chicken nuggets and fries.
For Summer Monro eating vegetables and fruit is not his favorite menu. This 25-year-old woman from England admits to having an eating disorder, which limits her eating a variety of foods. Otherwise known as Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (AFRID).
Reporting from the New York Post (09/03), because of this eating disorder, just thinking about fruit like apples and bananas can make him nauseous.
“I can’t remember the last time I ate fruit or vegetables. Maybe the last time I was three years old,” he explained.
“I’ve tried eating apples but I can’t. It’s not that I don’t want to try to eat them, but I feel nauseous, and there’s a part of my brain that physically doesn’t allow me to do this,” Monro continued.

Even Monro’s eating disorder has led him to turn down an offer of £1,000 cash prize (Rp 18.8 million), from his grandfather who asked him to eat a pea.

“I love the smell of food, but if I tried it I would immediately get physically sick. When the food touched my lips, I immediately couldn’t do it,” he said.
Due to his picky eating habits, Monro often skipped breakfast and only snacked on potato chips during the day. Then at night he usually eats 6-8 chicken nuggets with fries.
Although this diet looks unhealthy, he admits that he is healthy and has an ideal body shape. He also admitted that he did not take vitamins or dietary supplements.
“Many people were surprised when I said that I’ve never been sick. I’m also a cheerful person, and people don’t understand how I have this much energy. Physically this diet doesn’t affect me. I’ve had blood tests and they are all good,” he continued.
Even the medical staff were confused as to why Monro’s weight remained stable, and his health condition was fine, even though he only got protein from chicken nuggets, which are actually processed foods and not very healthy.
Monro himself believes that his eating disorder started when he was 3 years old, and was forced to eat mashed potatoes by his family.
To overcome this disorder, Monro has conducted therapy and hypnotherapy sessions but so far it has not been successful.
Although still in the healing stage, Monro is grateful to be surrounded by his partner and family who support him. Even so he wished that he could taste other foods.
“Honestly I’m so bored, I’m no longer in the mood to eat. It weighs on me mentally, especially when I go to a restaurant I can’t order anything. Like when it was my brother’s birthday, I could just sit and eat nothing , it makes me feel bad,” concluded Monro, who is still trying to treat his eating disorder.
