Shipper Innovation during the Covid-19 pandemic

Based on reports from Google, gross merchandise value (GMV) e-commerce in Indonesia grew by 52% from US$ 35 billion in 2020 to US$ 53 billion in 2021, making the Indonesian e-commerce market one of the fastest growing sectors in the world.

Meanwhile, the logistics and transportation sector has a market opportunity worth US$ 81.3 billion which is ready to be further developed.

Shipper sees this as a huge potential for the logistics industry.

However, efforts to knit logistics chains in the country, which is an archipelagic country in the midst of a global pandemic, have become a challenge for Indonesia, especially in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Shipper is fully committed to supporting the government’s efforts to create a more efficient National Logistics Ecosystem, one of which is to support local MSME businesses to grow and develop in the midst of a pandemic,” added Phil. (RO/OL-09)
