Profile of Kyiv Tourist Icon, Place of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy Nge-Vlog

Recently Ukrainian President Zelenskyy showed his courage through a vlog in front of the tourist icon of the capital city of Kyiv. Here’s his profile.

Last Saturday (26/2), the virtual world was touched by the courage of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy through his personal vlog. Instead of evacuating with the United States, he preferred to stay and confront Russia.

“The battle is here. I need ammunition, not a ride,” a senior American intelligence official with direct knowledge of the conversation quoted Zelenskyy as saying.

The invasion of Russian troops continued to advance and was getting closer to the Ukrainian capital on Saturday (26/2). They carried out the siege after carrying out a spate of air strikes on cities and military bases across the country, according to the Associated Press news agency.

In the video, President Zelenskyy gives a vlog-style speech in front of the House with Chimeras building, which is one of Kyiv’s tourism icons. Collected detikTravelMonday (28/2/2022), the name House with Chimeras is indeed very popular among tourists.

True to its unique name, the Gothic-style house is indeed decorated with many statues on the roof of the house. It is known, the building is located on the border of Kyiv and was built by the famous architect Vladislav Horodecki in 1902 ago.

According to Gorodetsky, the house was inspired by his desire to go on a safari in Africa. Not surprisingly, travelers can find various African animals such as lions, giraffes, crocodiles and rhinos on top of the building.

The myth of the curse in the House with Chimeras

Not only building, the house was also occupied by Horodecki and his family a year later. Unfortunately, he had to auction his house because he could not pay a fine.

With a heavy heart, Gorodetsky had to leave his masterpiece. However, he also gave a curse to the residents of the house outside his family.

Whoever lives in that house, is said to be unhappy and falls into poverty. Only descendants of Gorodetsky will be accepted in the house.

After Horodecki’s death, the house changed hands several times until it was converted into an apartment in 1921. After World War II, the building was also used as a hospital for members of the Ukrainian communist party (Bolsheviks).

Meanwhile, in the early 1990s, the function of the building was re-transferred as a tourist destination open to the public. Only in 2005, the building was restored and became a resting house for foreign delegates.

Now, the building has become an icon of the struggle of President Zelenskyy and Ukraine over the Russian invasion. Hopefully the iconic building will not be damaged by the Russian army.
