My mr2 makes some weird noise and when that weird noise comes, the filament didnt come trough the nozzle. This means they need to be updated to work with the version of makerbot desktop you are using.

You will need to unclog the extruder unload any filament from the extruder. Reattach the drive block assembly to the motor.

Normally i print pla at 230c at 90mm/s with ninja flex i print at 250c 30mm/s and this works perfectly. I used a metal composite filament, which completely clogged and gunked up my nozzle.

None of the settings in your profile will change, and you will not have to update the profile again. Grab the filament with your fingers going into the top of the extruder (not the hot noodle out the nozzle) and stop it from going into the extruder while the motor is still pulling.

So the obvious assumption is, the extruder gear grinds a divot in the side of the filament. I read about lowering the temperatures and have tried all.

Turn your makerbot replicator 2 back on and load some filament. To shorten the story and skip the embarrassment, i ordered and installed an entirely new hot.
Then Select Which Makerbot 3D Printer The Profile Is Meant To Be Used With, Enter A Description And Click Apply.
If your extruder is banging into the sides, you are having issues with your endstops. Persistence and patience debugs all things. Unload any filament from the extruder.
