Implementing Digital Innovation on Target, 33 BUMN, Private and Regional Win IDIA Award 2022


TRANSFORMATION and Digital Innovation is one of Indonesia’s three main agendas in the G20 Presidency. Digital innovation is seen as appropriate to encourage the acceleration of national and global economic recovery which has stalled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sure enough, the call as well as the mandate was well implemented by BUMN, BUMS and BUMD companies, especially by 33 companies that won the 2022 INDONESIA DIGITAL INNOVATION AND ACHIEVEMENT (IDIA) AWARDS.

The 33 companies are the result of a rigorous selection of 300 companies with an accountable method. Starting from the selection, filling out the questionnaire, judging and finally decided in the plenary meeting of the jury.

“We value these 33 companies as consistently implementing digital transformation and innovation. With this innovation, the business will survive and even accelerate,” said Sukatna Pancamiharja, the head of the IDIA Award 2022 organizer.

He emphasized that companies that implement digital innovation will certainly progress well. On the other hand, those who ignore innovation are certain to stagnate and fall down.

“Those (companies) that implement digital well will automatically be more advanced and develop than companies that do not implement digitalization. Because times have changed, everything is digital, so businesses must adapt to market changes,” he said in his remarks for the IDIA Award 2022, at the BJ Habibie auditorium, National Research and Innovation Agency, Jakarta.

Chairman of the IDIA Award 2022 Jury Heru Sutadi said this moment was very fitting, because it coincided with the peak of the G20 implementation in Bali.

“The moment of the G20 Presidency that carries the tigline Recover Together, Recover Stronger is well absorbed by world leaders, including the winner of the IDIA Award 2022. We know that for more than two and a half years, we and companies have been affected by the pandemic, if we can’t implement digitalization, it’s now just a name or not growing,” he said.

The event, which was organized by Business Asia Magazine and BusinessUpdate in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, BRIN, and other institutions such as ICT, Aptiknas, and the Indonesian Internet Foundation, is a valuable appreciation and recognition for corporate business agencies and government services in Indonesia. successful in terms of digital innovation and technology implementation, both in the management system and in customer service.

The event, which carries the theme “Innovation of Technology Strengthens Indonesia After the Pandemic”, is supported by experts and professionals in the fields of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Strategic Management, Finance, Banking, Insurance, Research and Innovation.

Heru Sutadi explained that this event aims to encourage the improvement of the company’s business through the development of policies and implementation of ICT and company innovation, especially in facing changes in the development of the business world.

“This is an annual corporate rating (award) activity in the fields of Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Digital Development, and Innovation. This is a form of our appreciation to agencies and companies that have succeeded in adapting and implementing digital technology in management systems or business cores,” he said.

He emphasized that the event which began with a judging activity, where companies and the jury could exchange ideas about digital transformation was an important lesson for all of us, especially for digitalization in Indonesia. (RO/OL-7)
