Quoted from mStaronline (03/06) apparently there is a story behind the idea of giving charity. Siti said that in the past she also had a difficult life, even to eat.
In the past, his late mother also sold nasi lemak near the University of Technology Malaysia. At that time, the mother also often gave alms by giving free food to students who had no money.
“I’m always angry, why does he like to give out free food because we have our own capital. But I know what he means now, it can help and bring in sustenance,” he said.
From that, Siti began to imitate her late mother’s way of giving alms. Every day he always provides 10 packs of nasi lemak which will be given to students in need.
