Religious tolerance is important for everyone to respect each other. Especially if you live in a multi-cultural country which of course has different religions.

There is a netizen who shares his story of religious tolerance in his family environment. The story was uploaded to his TikTok account @hajarangelique.

In her video, the Malaysian woman reveals that she has a father and mother-in-law who are of different religions than her. Even so, their relationship remains harmonious and mutual respect.

“The month of fasting with my non-Muslim in-laws,” wrote the caption in the video upload.

Not only respect each other, but mother parents in law of the woman also showed her affection. The mother-in-law is known to want to cook for her daughter-in-law who is fasting.

The woman asked to make tomato rice. With pleasure, the mother-in-law immediately made it.

“Back at my parents-in-law’s house last week, at the last minute I asked for tomato rice to be made. My mother-in-law immediately cooked and packed it to take home when it was time to break the fast,” he said in the video.

“Even though my parents-in-law and I have different religions and nationalities, we still respect each other,” he continued.

That woman looks happy because of this mother-in-law make his favorite dish. “Thank you, mother, for preparing iftar dishes even though you are not fasting,” he said.

This netizen’s video has gone viral on TikTok. To date, the video has been viewed more than 1.6 million times.
