Queen Elizabeth II has died. Until her death, the woman who led England for nearly 70 years was under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle, Scotland.
Quoted from AFP, Friday (9/9/2022), the queen died at the age of 96 years. The medical surveillance came after palace doctors expressed concern over Queen Elizabeth’s health.
His health condition is reportedly declining and is being monitored by a team of British doctors. Currently, the queen is at Balmoral Castle, Scotland.
The entire royal family, including Prince Charles the heir to the throne, accompanied Queen Elizabeth II on medical supervision at Balmoral Castle.
Balmoral Castle is in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The castle is crossed by the River Dee and not far from Mount Lochnagar. Balmoral Castle is about 804 km from Buckingham Palace, a nine hour road drive.
This castle is the queen’s summer home and is one of the queen’s favorite castles. The queen, who was born on April 21, 1926 and named Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, stayed there throughout August and September to October. The woman who got the crown on June 2, 1953 even called this castle the most appropriate place to breathe freedom and peace.
Princess Eugenie, the Queen’s granddaughter and Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter, described Balmoral as “a wonderful place for grandma and grandpa” and a place that “has room to breathe and run”.

“Travelling, vacations, dogs, lots of dogs, there’s always dogs, and people are in and out all the time,” said Princess Eugenie.
The castle was purchased by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria in 1852 and has since been the property of the royal family for generations.
The castle has a plantation area of 50,000 hectares with a total of 150 buildings. There are dairy farms, gardens and farmhouses here, in addition to the castle.
Family barbecues are also often held there. The late Prince Philip was in charge of cooking, while the Queen did the washing up.
After their wedding in 1947, they spent part of their honeymoon at Birkhall, a hunting lodge on the estate. He lived there with his grandsons William and Harry when their mother, Princess of Wales.
This summer, Queen Elizabeth visited Bamoral Castle on July 21.
There he also met the figure who later became prime minister, Liz Truss. The meeting usually takes place at Buckingham Palace, but the queen’s health condition meant it was held at Balmoral Castle.
